The most recent evidence indicates to a number of planned hardware changes for the next iPhones, which are expected to be delivered this year. Apple frequently introduces new iPhone models in September, with each iteration featuring minor advancements such as improved cameras, screens, and battery life. These enhancements, which have been implemented across several years, typically result in significant progress, successfully enticing customers to upgrade when purchasing a new phone.
Last year, Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro, which starts at $999, had a titanium frame, an action button, and USB-C charging. Following its established strategy, Apple continues to incorporate professional functionality into its entry-level iPhone. The $799 iPhone 15 inherits the highly lauded Dynamic Island from the iPhone 14 Pro, as well as USB-C charging.
AppleInsider did not say whether its source has discovered the reasoning for the changing camera setups on the iPhone 16. However, it is rumored that the two lenses would be placed vertically rather than diagonally. Apple previously indicated that the iPhone 15 Pro has stacked lenses for spatial video recording, a key feature highlighted by the firm in its $3,499 Apple Vision Pro headset, which debuted in February.
While AppleInsider’s leaks appear to corroborate multiple previous reports, it’s important to note that not all renderings and 3D prints are always accurate, as the rumor blog itself points out in its article. Apple has yet to react to a request for comment on the accuracy of these leaks.
